Tramore Pottery is a collaborative project by Clare Blount and Patricia Conesa ā two Tramore-based potters on a mission to use pottery as a way to build community in Waterford and beyond.
We believe that:
Pottery and making are great ways to bring people together.
Anyone can make fantastic pottery regardless of age, background, ability or artistic inclination.
Working with clay can boost a sense of calm and wellbeing.
The best way to learn is getting your hands dirty!

Clare Blount
Clare Blountās Pottery journey began as an adult learner, with an evening class in the local secondary school, where she instantly felt at home with muddy hands. She has been continually learning and creating ever since, working out of a small home studio at the end of her garden.Having grown up in Tramore, her work is heavily inspired and influenced by the sea, and in particular by the community that revolves around it.She sees working with Tramore Pottery as a way of enriching the community, bringing her love of clay and art to both young and old.You can find her work at www.clareblountpottery.ie

Patricia Conesa
Patricia Conesa discovered her love for clay at summer camp and she was instantly thrilled by the experience of turning mud into glass. Over the years, sheās worked in a paint-your-own pottery cafĆ©, facilitated workshops for homeschooling groups, and found social and creative refuge in community studios ā especially after becoming a parent. Now based in Tramore, sheās passionate about pottery as a way to build community, encourage self-discovery through play and experimentation, and support wellbeing. She sees hands-on making as a quiet act of resilience in a screen-filled world.Through Tramore Pottery, sheās excited to share the joy of working with clay with kids, teens, and adults in Tramore and across Waterford. You can find her work at www.patriciaconesa.com
